This is a group of carers and ex-carers living in the West End of Newcastle who get together once a month for a relaxed social afternoon. All members are 50+ and enjoy this chance of a break and opportunity to meet others with similar experiences. Many members are ex-carers - people who have had caring responsibilities for long periods of time - and now find themselves alone.

Usually the group go out for a minibus trip to local places of interest like Hexham or Tynemouth, making sure there is somewhere to stop for tea and a chat! Sometimes they visit garden centres or shopping outlets and occasionally there is a speaker.

There is no charge for the afternoon which is currently the first Tuesday of the month.
