Volunteering opportunities at Search

Would you like to help Search reach out to more older people or to put your skills to good use in the community?

We need more volunteers and have lots of opportunities at the project including:

  • helping to maintain Search's community garden
  • making refreshments
  • befriending isolated older people
  • helping to run New Age Kurling activities
  • driving a minibus to transport our clients to their activities or on day trips out

We provide support to all our volunteers and can also provide training and CRB checks where necessary. Recent training offered to our volunteers includes simple face and hand massage, dementia awareness, first aid and wheelchair handling.

If you think you may be interested, please ring Maggy on 0191 273 7443 for a chat.
